Hobo Meal - Pot roast on the run consist of beef, turnips, potatoes, beets, carrots. Dinner in a bowl. It takes about 2 hrs 30 minutes to prepare and cook. Serve hot. So lets get started! Utensils:
Ingredients:
Mix flour with salt and pepper. Roll all the meat cubes into the flour mixture and place in a skillet with one tablespoon of vegetable oil. Browning all the meat. Picture #1 Place the browned meat in the stewing pot filling it with enough water to cover the top of the meat. Simmer for about 2 hours or until the meat is tender. Picture #2 Add the carrots, onions, rutabagas, turnips and potatoes. simmer for another 30 minutes. Optional: Slowly added the milk and flour paste to the stew until the right desired thickness is obtained simmering for another 10 minutes Serve and enjoy! Makes approximately 5 servings. Picture #3
